Thanks also to Gil Sperrywho contributed half his proceeds of his book sales to Marichi Tesoro de Tucson from that event. FUNDRAISER FOR VICTIMS OF HAITI EARTHQUAKE
We want to thank all of you who donated to the Haiti fundraiser hosted by The Valenzuela family and others in the Tucson community.
Our Music Director, Jaime Valenzuela, instructor Rudy Valenzuela, sister Myrna and father Dr. Alfredo Valenzuela, are all public school educators and, along with Kathy Valenzuela (Rudy's wife), professional mariachi musicians. Mrs. Valenzuela (Mrs. "Dr. V") has given (and continues to give) generously of her time for many years to support the Davis Bilingual School mariachi group, Los Aguilitas, as well as Mariachi Tesoro de Tucson and, now Mariachi Corazón de Tucson.
The Valenzuela family is recognized throughout Tucson for their generosity, caring approach to students and their families, and their dedication and hard work above and beyond the call of duty. Nueva Generacioón, Inc. is proud to support the continuing legacy of the Valenzuela family and appreciates the high standard they set for our mariachi youth.
In this same generous spirit, the Valenzuela Family, in collaboration with other members of the Tucson community, is hosting a fundraiser for people who suffered in the earthquake in Haiti.
