Mariachi Tesoro de Tucson participated with other Mariachi and Folklórico groups at the opening of the Espectacular Friday, April 27th at 7:30 p.m. Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano, Mariachi Cobre, and Pedro Fernandez, headlined the Espectacular. Many musicians from all over the United States 'jammed' with one another and the "professionals" in the evenings after participating in the conference and after the Espectacular. Tesoro musicians were delighted - some could not get enough. When else can they stay out to 2 or 3 am?!
Mariachi Tesoro de Tucson also performed at the Garibaldi Festival at Reid Park on Saturday, April 28th alongside many talented groups, such as, Pueblo High School's Mariachi Aztlán and Mariachi Tesoro de San Fernando, and stayed to hear Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano once more. Tesoro musicians learned a great deal and our Mariachi family is grateful to have participated in this year's International Mariachi Conference and always looking forward to the next year!
